Activity

Most of my exhibitions took place in Arad, when I was a member of Foto Club Arad, between 2005 and 2007. Those days, my activity was somehow more intense, if we speak of exhibitions.

The most representative of these is my first (and only, so far...) personal photographic exhibition, entitled "First Love" and which represented my fist public exposure as a nature and landscape photographer.

After 2007, my exhibitory activity slowed down, because I relocated to Bucharest. Now I`m in the process of integrating within the local photographical entourage and hopefully I`m going to display publicly some of my recent work, very soon.

In my early days as a photographer (and later on, off course), I participated in many photo contests and had some good results. Most of them were online competitions.

In this section, you can see which were these contests and which rewarded me. The winner photos were also included in the presentation of each event. Some events have galleries, because they tell a hole story.

The photo competition that I`m the most proud of is the 2009 Wild Wonders of Europe Photo Competition, in which I was the winner for the September stage. It was so important to me because it was al about nature and I won with a nature photo.

Now, this is an aspect of my activity which has a great interest to me. So far, I had some articles published in various photo & travel magazines, and also in some books, but ...

But I`m very keen to see more of my photos published to print. I have many ideas and projects that I want to make them come alive as printed materials. And Prints have a special "je ne sais quoi" that I like so much.

I also like to write short texts for my photos and I intend to publish nature and landscape photo albums, as well as various photo essays. Sometimes, my Blog is just that ... a sketch, a draft where my future projects come into shape.

"For me, photography represents more than a hobby, even more than a professional activity, it represents that special place where I run when I`m sad, happy, tired or rested, alone or in love; photography gives me that one inexplicable pleasure that I feel when I create something beautiful, not necessarily for others, but especially for myself."

"This first exhibition reflects my really first passion, which is and it will always be Nature. That is why I chose to entitle it "First Love", and those that are friends and close to me, will know what is about and will not be fooled by the event poster."

Contests & Awards: Wild Wonders of Europe Photo Competition, September 2009

Wild Wonders of Europe's monthly photo competition offers amateur photographers from all over the world the opportunity to submit their best work -with one condition: the photo must show off wild flora, fauna, and landscapes from Europe.

In September 2009, I won the monthly competition, the "18+" category - "Inspired by Nature" theme, with the photo "Chicory".

Water is the source of life; but, at the same time, it is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the abstract photography and for the photographic graphism. Learn to observe and to paint or to make graphics with your camera. For me, photographing reflections and refractions on the water surface represents some form of meditation and observation, in front of the beauty and wonders that surrounds us. It`s incredible for me to watch and take photos at the shapes that are reflected by water, deformed and transformed in weird and wonderful ways.
